Great post Steve. PS: If fraud was a sport, Joseph Smith would be a hall of famer.

I hope that woman is better than all the TBM's that I know (I'm not saying that argentinian tbm women are bad, but they are definitively more orthodox than men). I wish him luck.

In Argentina most TBM's use the term "plural marriage" but YM and YSA (also men) often use the term "polygamy". Women always use the term "plural marriage". I always use the term polygamy.

I don't know if there's a life after death but I think it would be nice to meet all the nice people I met here and the rest of the nice people in an afterlife, not just my family.

As slskipper said all the symbols are masonic. And I always think the temple clothes clothes were ridiculous. But when I did baptisms for the dead I never thought that it was weird I thought I was helping people to reach a better place. But when I read and then saw the endowment ceremony I thought that isn't the same religion I joined, that's a f#cking cult. Specially reading about the temp

One photo of my baptism and one photo outside the temple, both on Facebook, were the only mormon things that I made online. All the "share all your blessings and all kind of mormon articles" were considered BS IMO. And I guess I didn't do that because I felt ashamed of the comments that TBM's made on Facebook such as the use of the words eternal or for the eternity in marriage's pho

IMO Joseph Smith is worse because he stole women who were married, he had sex with teenagers, people died for "following the prophet" and because he created a cult that is still destroying lives.

They are so predictable LOL, but as lots of them (old men with suits) are dicks, I wouldn't have felt bad for him either. Enjoy your badass freedom Adam.

When I became mormon I lost most of my so-called friends (even though I had never tried to convert any of them, and just like you, my friends could freely drink and swear). So don't feel bad, you did your best with them but they were your so-called friends, not real friends. My advice is don't worry about them, love your real friends and if you don't have real friends, search new ones, good p

I had to be mistreated to become inactive, but then I think that the people who I met in college made me realize that there was a life outside the cult. So when I made my research 4 months after became inactive, I wasn't brainwashed enough to believe all the apologetic's BS and I figured out what the cult really was.

Mormonism made me lose 2 years of my life but when I left the cult I started to think in a more critical way which would prevent me to make some bad decisions in the future. But then I realized that the same thing happened with every dissapointment in my life. So I think mormonism was bad for me because it made me have some bad moments but at the same time I also believe it could have been wo

Satan: And why would you want to make your spiritual sons dress ridiculously and make silly handshakes. God: you don't understand the word funny, do you? Satan: But you are their heavenly father... God: Oh Lucifer, just shut up and I will give you the best lines in the endowment ceremony and I will tell the hinckster to give your role to Michael Ballam. Satan: OK, Elohim it's a de

A shameless charismatic leader with some creativity (and of course plagiarism) + other people who help him with ideas and with their voices to spread his story= early mormonism. Early mormonism + the fact that the leader have realized he could be more powerful and rich.... and have sex with whoever he wants= Joseph Smith's final mormonism. Joseph Smith's final mormonism + people replacing

The only people who are completely honest and polite about the church are ExMos and TBM's who don't know anything about the cult's history

Elderolddog At least you have a word that defines your love life, I haven't fallen in love for 6 years,so I don't know a word that could define my love life. I guess I have to create it again. I think I should call Jehovah and Michael.

If he was the first mason, he must have been born in the british islands in the early 15th century or in the early 16th century (it depends on what is the fact that you consider to have started the masonry). I guess I can't imagine Jesus being british. Too weird even for a guy who was a TBM.

To me the absence of tomatoes, potatoes and corn helped me to realize that it was fiction. Especially corn, which was very important for a lot of american (continent) civilizations. From Mayan's creation myth: Together, the gods attempted to create living beings so that they may be praised and venerated by their creation. Their first attempts (animals, mud man, and wooden man) proved unsuc

No, I'm sure that if Jesus existed he couldn't have done all the temple's BS simply because masonry didn't exist in Jesu's time. http://packham.n4m.org/mason-endow.htm
