My inactive brother was able to convince my Dad to stay home during this flu epidemic (to skip sacrament meeting). Dad is 99. A couple of years ago he had the flu virus type B....not covered by the flu shot & almost died. Last year he had bronchitis & pneumonia but survived......barely. So staying home for a few Sundays is the best choice. It's especially helpful to convinc

I've been there maybe 3 times. First time was a free practice meal day.....with appointment. It seems like it's disorganized. The servers & the cooks don't seem to be very good at communication. I ordered a baked potato.....server said they had them at a certain time....OK so a lil wait....then they didn't have any. Not sure what that was all about.... Confused Tutu

Don't resign yet.... Just find new friends & activities. IF you live in Utah or Idaho or Arizona, it might be more difficult than other places.... Find a exmo group. Have you been to Mormon Spectrum for location of groups & contact info? Our group in N Orange County CA meets once a month. exmo-K@juno.com

My TBM Dad & his caregiver didn't know about it until after the fact. My brother had been kayaking....just back & on the sand when he heard people talking about it. He drove home to his house/wife. They drank tea & waited. My sister thought someone hacked her cell.....I guess she ignored it. I didn't hear about anyone who panicked. Brother said everyone seemed calm. Alt

I'm wondering how I would have handled those 38 minutes before getting the next alert...............false alarm. YIKES!!!!!! Where to go? Did the Mormons go to a chapel? Temple? Did the exmos go inside a special building? I'm wondering. The instructions are to take cover. OK but where? Were you on the Island? Did you pray? I heard there were a lot of people saying "I

I have used it to call back numbers I don't recognize.... everything but 800 numbers which will see my number. Usually it's a non available number/disconnected that I reach which means it's probably a "sales" call. I block #s that do not leave messages.....or are annoying.

Which means you're paying 10%. Must have an interview with Bishop &/or temple recommend. My Dad has given his Great Grandkids their PBs. Funny thing.....I never got one. And Dad was the stake Patriarch. I listened to a couple of his on a cassette tape. (boring) But before & after conversation was interesting. Dad learned some info from the "one to be blessed".

16. Or What
Most of the exmos I know are not involved in any religion. They're not Christians or Muslims or Buddhists..... I'm happy to believe in energy.....both spiritual & healing. I do have a sister who says she's Christian now. Jesus has saved her from a sinful life. But she's definitely not a shining example of Love. But she wears a cross. It's great to be "guilt" free &

My DH was reading everything from the Tanners & he found RfM...not the board but the stories etc. I found the board. I was hooked. I had not resigned at that time. My husband had resigned but I was fearful. I found the "how to resign" info that Kathy provided. I resigned & have been here since. That was years ago. It was a 60th birthday gift to me from me. Move

Do not destroy the TBM books. That's exactly what the cult would like you to do. Hopefully Forescape can keep them safe. If not I may be able to "store" them. How much space would I need? Tutu

For some reason my TBM 90+ year old Dad thinks I'm inactive. So for 4 decades I've been inactive now. I guess he thinks I'll return. He knows I don't attend his church. He knows my kids aren't baptized. He knows enough to figure it out. But we don't talk about MY beliefs. Tutu

I know some are down here from N. California. It's a risky time with the Santa Anas.....so unpredictable. We're fine here in Orange County......so far no fires nearby. And it didn't seem as windy here today....North Orange County. Tutu/KJ/AnonyMs

I've been around very sick people with the flu....Dad had virus B flu before there was a shot for it & I didn't get it from him. My TBM sister gets the flu shot yearly....and the pneumonia shots.
