I was invited to my daughters wedding. It was a full blown temple wedding. I told her I wouldn't be there and sit outside. I did meet them afterwards and pay for nice meal for them and several friends. I felt like the only reason I was invited, was to pay for the meal. It was the last time I ever seen her.

I lived in Nevada during the 70's. I drove a dodge 426 Hemi with a Hurst 4 speed. It was awesome. When I visited other states, felt like I was dragging my feet. Also when I went to Utah, loaded up with the booze I liked to drink.

I worked for big company in Utah county for several years. I think in the room of 12 there was only 3 of us that weren't Mormons. Almost every day they would go into discussions about how they were blessed to be RM's. They were unqualified and arrogant. Guess who got the promotions? They would ask me if I had served a mission. I would always tell them I spent 6 years in the military defending the

I was raised in the 50's. Many things were better, simpler. However several things I would never want to go back to. Car tires were really bad. You had to carry extra tubes and patch kits. Medicine. People died with things we have forgotten about, polio, infections, diseases we forgot about. Communications. Telephone were a luxury. Writing letters and pay phones were normal.

After I got out of jail for beating the bishops son into the hospital. The bishop told my father, I was "unworthy" to be a member. That was 60 years ago. Still a badge of honor. .

I went through almost same thing, many years ago. I was out and she was inactive when we married. she got active and demanded I return and take her through the temple. I didn't do it. Got a divorce, lost a good business, house, everything. I rebuilt my life the way I wanted. Never remarried. It was not easy, but I was better off. I am now totally retired and have nothing to do with anything Mor

These people I was friends with in Utah. The daughter is getting married in the Salt Lake Temple. Seen her grow up into a fine lady but have not had contact with them in 6 years. They know I am not a Mormon. Why would they send me an invitation, knowing my feelings? The only thing I can think of is for me to send money??

I figured out at an early age , that Mormon life was not for me.I was raised in a small ,, Mormon only , farm town. I "went along to get along". When I graduated HS, I left and with my small savings and made it. The only time I went back was to visit my parents. Loved them very much. Best of luck,, keep us posted.

Remember when people return from 2 years away, they are different people. Have seen quite a few relationships where a girl faithfully waited, sent letters, pictures etc. When he returned, never acknowledged her, dated her or had any contact with her. The Mormons are a close knit, controlling group. "if you are not with us, you are against us." Have been told this numerous times. Best t

I lived in happy valley for over 20 years, non Mormon. I was the only, unmarried non Mormon, in many blocks. Most weekends I had friends come over and we bar-b-q'ed, smoked ribs, drank beer. Had a good time. On Sundays the Mormons would stand in the street and watch us. I invited them to join us several times. They never would. Strange. Sold out and moved out of Utah about 5 years ago. Live in a
