In a small branch in the midwest I witnessed a self proclaimed witch and a women who turned out to be a double murdress confirmed. The witch was doing pretty good until she was caught in the relief society room doing a satanic ritual on another member. I know this sounds made up but I swear on joe Smith's head it's true.

As many have suspected, the Angel on top the temple is really Gabriel.

I was also in my 60's when I fought the fight. My husband still thinks I'll come back.. Hah! Viewing the cult with clear eyes and a therapist who had been married to a Mormon changed my life. I began to see ¥how I'd been manipulated by many others including TBMH. Of course, he used the cult to get his way a lot. My many doubts were my unrichesness. A couple days ago, I met up with old LDS

I had a close friend, who was also a convert, took me to her bedroom and gave me a run down just before my first temple visit. I was shocked when she told about the naked thing but very glad to be forwarned. The most shocking part was how it was all like my induction into the Rainbow Girls (eastern stars for young women). I really hated Rainbow Girls!

Many years ago I attended a ward in Milwaukee. It was loaded with Germans who were brought over by the church after WWII. I know for a fact, several had been Nazis. I remember testimony meetings where they would get up and cry about the invasion of their homeland by the USA. I found the whole thing astounding.

I live in Midwest and haven't been in a chapel for 3 or 4 years but my disabled husband has a dedicated older home teacher who reports all the ward news. The ward's young couples and young adults are 80% Zion imports. There hasn't been a local baptism in years (except a few welfare seekers). Most of the imports just got out of college, have 3 kids, a first time job, and hate it here. The elde

My husband was in the Bishopric when he had his first stroke. The other counselor became bishop shortly after. He hasn't contacted my husband in the 5 years since his stroke. My husband is broken hearted that all but one priesthood friend has abandoned him. I think he sees the cult for what it is now but would never admit it. I quit paying tithing as soon as husband turned finances over to

The day I finally admitted to my TBM husband that I was out, I immediately lost my fear of dying. I also found peace in giving up prayer. I was a constant prayer person. The power of facing every day head on was so freeing. I was driving myself crazy hoping some outside force was going to deliver me from life's bumps. I also find it better to deal with people knowing they might fail me ins

My husband and I were converts and were sealed in early 1970s. We flew from Nashville to Los Angeles as there were few temples back then. It was a big production as we had 2 children and no one we knew in LA. It was a long trip just to get naked and pretend to slit your throat. Silly us,we thought once was all we had to go. As time passed more temples and more pressure to attend. I went m

A friend sent me pictures of her son's temple marriage. I couldn't believe my eyes, the bride's dress looked sleeveless and my friend wore a white dress with very shire sleeves. I would have been sent back to the dressing room for arm covers in my temple days.

I guess you are too young to have watched the Anita Hill hearings and old Hatch's nasty performance. They were just women after all. Snort!

I've been thinking today that the news oulets don't understand how a "Prince of Mormondom" is protected by the priesthood all way to the top ranked Senators if needed. The environment of chosen male Mormons is one of indulgence in any situation involving a mere women. This guy grew up believing he was very special.

I and my husband joined the Mormon church when our 2 boys were toddlers. When the boys were growing up my husband was in the Bishopric most of those years. He handled all the interview stuff. After 40 years of struggling with my faith, I told my husband ENOUGH. It was after I started reading here that I realised those interviews had a sexual component. I ask my husband out right if that was t

Our ward had a chiropractor who gave new patients breast exams until an irate husband (non-mormon) tried to punch out his lights.

This is evil to say, but I think there was a lot more to my husbands membership than faith. He is a narcissist and the cult loves male narcissist. He got to make me feel LESS if I could'nt come up with tithing or complained about his absence to all those Priesthood meetings. He is very charismatic so he held all the higher level ward callings. He loved that. It was a tug of war for a wh

I've always thought the gender thing was abusive. Females in a little room with 3 men who think they have God's permission to ask intimate questions. They aren't even worthy enough to get the big guy (SP). The ward clerk can fill in. Good Grief!

When I first started voicing my doubts about 8 years ago I was terrified. My husband was so disappointed but my adult children were so relieved. They opted out of anything LDS as soon as they left Dad's influence. It was hard at first, shedding my garments, losing longtime friends, and my husband's disapproval. The whole Mormon thing has gotten so stupid and crazy in the last couple of ye

I live in a Midwest stake. Three total ding-a-lings I means missionaries came by over thaksgiving. They did a lot of eyerolls and giggling.I see them on the computers at the public library every time I'm there which is often. They have never recognized me as their targeted inactive. Moreover it seems that looking for teachable people would spoil there day of online activities.

How come none of the pictures of those fan-dang-go leggings show garments rolled up in a bunch around their thighs. In the 80's when styles were simular we saw the thigh rolls and sagging flaps in the back.

Yes it was the colors of Young Women. Went to several accross the country in what we called the Misson Field. The branches and a few wards were far flung so often it was held in a large rented hall. A few were misson-wide rather than stake. Great fun to see people from far away. A fun chance to dress up after so many Sundays of wrinkled white shirts and hand-me-down suits and dresses. I alway

The first stake dance my husband was the Dj for shortly after we were baptised still makes me laugh. (My husband was a radio DJ at the local station). The powers to be had a fit because he played a silly song "She came in thru the bathroom window", but were OK with "Mellow Yellow". Years later a stake dance was shut down because he played "The Macarena ". Sh

My husband's home teacher came by to tell him that High Priest and RS sisters will have to have a smart phone or tablet to bring to class. They will not have manuals this year. I find this very funny. They've bitched about cell phones in Sacrament for a couple years now. Of course, the savings on printing will free up a lot of tithing that will be sent to Texas or Florida, not!

It seems things are changing in the marriage situations of Mormons. I have a young friend who is marrying soon in the temple for the first time. The bride is a widow with several children. She was married in the temple to the children's father. Her Bishop has arranged to break the seal of that marriage so she can be sealed to my friend. There has also been talk of letting God sort it out when

I live in Iowa and the ward I attended is almost all Utah transplants. They come here for jobs and the low cost of living. On testimony Sunday they stand up and cry about how much they hate it here. Every calling except primary teacher is handed out to the newst Utah move in. They don't know how to do anything as they mostly come from wards where they were students or just a seat warmer. The

I was always horrified when the island converts (for example)were forced to give up their cultural dress for ugly uncomfortable mormon uniforms. Where was God hundreds of years ago when they started dressing for their climate and culture. Probably right there in his comfy sarong.

I do know that years ago when the first Nashville stake was formed they held the meeting in the high school gym. They used the sound sytem of a local band who all had long hair. The visiting GA had a fit and ordered all those long hairs off the stage. The doors couldn't be opened until they left. Funny thing was the band members were LDS. Not a one is anymore.

My son owns land in Moab. He says Moab is on high right now. He has been keeping and camping there for years. It has gone from an out of the way outdoor adventure spot to the playground of the upwardly mobile crowd.
