I don't follow this that much, but after my silly wisecrack, above, I got to thinking: Do I correctly recall that the authorities revealed that his phone made pings close to the murder scene around the time of the killings? And wasn't there some video evidence of his car passing by, like a recon ride? People with better info can refute, correct, or confirm me, please. If that's the case, then

Last December my pastor announced there would be a meeting of the cleaning ministry (yes, he called it that) for 2024. Everybody involved, and anybody would like to be involved should show up. I counted: 20% of the church did.

Considering the spiritual import of denominational scriptures, the CS "Quarterly" which publishes the weekly "lesson-sermons." These consist of six paired groups of selections, from the KJV Bible (first) and then Science & Health (second). These should be read by the members daily, then on Sunday they go to their local branch church and hear them read to them by readers.

the image didn't separate out from the thread, and had a few unrelated off-color images. It was a picture of a total(ed) Mitsubishi Eclipse. On a slightly related matter, what do you call a totaled Acura? --an (in)Acura.

In 2003 Cardinal Law(less) was replaced by Sean Francis O'Malley OFM, who was not a bishop in regular Catholic hierarchy (especially the Boston Archdiocese) but a Franciscan monk (of some rank, don't know. Abbot?). The RC church went, sort of, outside the church to get a leader for this very (critically) important post. The only thing I know is that he brought the St.J seminarians into town for

Haines man--are you saying you were in a court proceeding with another lawyer (or legal professional)--with whom you apparently have, or had, an ecclesiastical relationship, and he pulled the underwear tag out? I'm assuming you wore a dress shirt, buttoned to the collar, a closed collar, and a tie? And he managed to get the underwear tag out? I mean, really?...That's...something..."unwa

I'm not going to look up the numbers, but it was a major hemorrhaging of $$ over several years. Just when membership was dropping, and disgusted members were skimping on donations. For curiosity's sake, here's an outline of how they handled the settlements. In Boston (Brighton district), straddling the city line with Newton is a very large, nominally Catholic, university: Boston College (BC) (

No, no an LDS church. A Bible Baptist church. Regarding Summer's astute observation, "If they would make investigators take classes, attend church, and wait at least a few months, they might have a more lasting success." Most of them attended 4 sessions of new convert/newcomer SS classes. Some of them are established believers from other churches. And the Pastor says there are a

Nobody was killed, but one man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm, and another to his neck, as a woman cruised I-10 in Florida shooting at people. She says God told her to. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/solar-eclipse-shooting-spree-taylon-celestine-shoots-drivers-claims-god-told-her-to/

A counterfeit has to have a reasonable resemblance to the original. You find Ben Franklin on bogus $100 bills, not Alfred E. Newman. So in Alma 34, you find something that approximates an actual Biblical teaching.

The issue is conversion--coming to faith in Christ. All people are called to faith: some do, others don't. The how & why is unique to each individual. It follows, people can and do turn to God at any point or under any circumstances in life: young/old; good/bad fortune; good health/illness or injury; safety/danger; rich/poor. And so on. My point is that at a certain point, often late, in l

23. Amen.
Deathbed repentance is Biblically legit; consider the thief on the Cross. One held to his sins, unrepentant, the other came to faith--even if the dialogue was brief, that is the historical assumption. The problem is that by the time a person who's lived a Godless life, they're probably so entangled in a carnal mindset that they're incapable of a soul-felt faith and repentance. My guess is that

Also called Pharisaism. unique to LDS or Protestant fundamentalism. What, exactly, is a "Sabbath-day walk?" The matter of buying and preparing food on the Lord's Day/Sabbath brings to my mind that my oven has a "Sabbath mode" for people who prepare their dinner the day before (okay, got it, that's "work") but touching the controls is also "work," so it has
