When I went through I was confused why a woman performed the initiatory and was told women hold limited priesthood. That never sat well with me since it went against everything I was ever taught. My husband was a paramedic in SLC for a short period and had a patient who refused to go to the hospital until a blessing was given. What could have been a treatable heart attack ended up killing this man. The medical crew was incredulous but there was nothing they could do.
