According the article: "Scientists think we lost our body hair when we started walking and left the jungle for warmer climates." This alone refutes major tenets of religions across the world and debunks major teachings on our origins found in the Bible. Interesting that KSL would feature the article. https://www.ksl.com/article/50565499/utah-professors-team-may-have-figured-out-w

Just watched the very robotic video presentation. Frankly, this is just a re-packaged initiative with some newer internet support tools. They continue to use a very typical sales tactic which is to find support for the brand from the customer base. If you are still on the membership records you are considered part of the customer base. ChurchCo is trying to find the most effective way to find you

Pulled this off another forum - apparently this is on Twitter: "He was a two- faced abusive monster. My brother and sis-in-law were good friends with them for years- in fact SIL has been interviewed by multiple news stations about this tragedy because she was friends with Tausha. Her missed appt was with a women's crisis center. She was in the process of finally working to get herself an

My guess is there might have been some marital struggles but in reality, couples can and do have issues to work out. Thankfully a good many do. But when you add the burden of the toxic Mormon temple covenants into a troubled marriage its like kindling for a fire. Women are taught and make covenants before God that they will obey the law of their husbands. I remember seeing the sisters in the sess

My guess is this Mormon swindler might have committed suicide when the SEC started closing in. Where is all the cash and who were the suckers? My guess is the suckers were Mormons that placed their trust in Brother Swensen. I wonder if this guy was in a position of authority in ChurchCo? https://www.ksl.com/article/50551115/sec-seeking-to-recover-29m-from-alleged-swindler-in-kaysville-who-has-

One has to wonder about the orgy of temple building in Utard. I think: 1-TSCC has 100 billion to spend somewhere - why not build, build, build? Gotta blow this tax exempt wad somewhere. Some temples now have revenue generating real estate development around them owned by TSCC (Ogden for ex.). Revenue, revenue, revenue! 2-TSCC membership is waning badly in Utard. Is this cluster of temples s

Check out Breitbart and the Morg’s link to the virtual GC. Wonder why ChurchCo is targeting Breitbart readers? MORmON doctrine is not Christian and wouldn’t be appealing to a conservative Breitbart reader. Could be part of a large ad buy but does seem a little desperate.

Some called him crazy yet others glorified him. Regardless of what folks think about Evel Knievel, there can be no doubt that he was one incredible daredevil. Jumping buses astride a heavy and cumbersome Harley was simply unbelievable - and still is. Evel reflected on his health and life (just before his death) and offered some interesting perspectives one of which is that leaders of organized

Once again, heartfelt thanks to Tom for his courage to leave and call out the fraud that is LDS, Inc. The collateral damage to the relationships with his family is most unfortunate. What continues to amaze me about Tom is that, unlike most of us, he received some of the highest ordinances that LDS, Inc. can offer (or as LDS, Inc. would say - Jesus himself can offer) and yet he was still able to s

Didn't know that pictures of mormon missionaries could be considered fine art. (?) According to the ad, this is a limited edition of 25. Who would buy this? Perhaps one of the six missionaries pictured but beyond that I don't see a market for it. I could be that Dave Anderson, the seller, is one of the six missionaries in the picture and has some overwhelming attachment to and/or need to publi

I think there are several thoughts on this thread, including some offered by the OP, that could be several separate threads and don't necessarily support the topic. TSCC is like a traditional 'brick and mortar' business with no product (temple blessings / promises) purchase opportunities other than physically going into the store (temple). There's no on-ine offering where I stream the endowment i

you have to realize you're in trouble. If your having trouble keeping membership, growing and maintaining relevancy why not build, build, build? After all - aren't magnificent buildings a sign of success? The point of my post - I have always maintained that any organization, even your own family, is what it is because of the PEOPLE that participate in it. The org becomes strong and grows beca

When one of the top Biblical scholars in the world, John Dominic Crossan, begin changing the narrative on the historical Jesus it prompted be to start investigating. Personally for me, the Biblical story of Jesus is complete hogwash and propaganda. The genesis of the name of 'Jesus' in the context of the Christ, Son of God, Savior, etc. is even in question. It is unknown to this day who actual

I guess everyone should listen to Bednar - he has the potential to be the longest living Profit in the history of ChurchCo. But seriously, ChurchCo has always taught SECRECY about the rituals in the temple. I remember asking Mom & Dad about the temple when I was young and Dad would always say he COULD NOT talk about it. So there you go. Maybe Bednar's memory has already started failing him

I drove by Battlestar Galactica (my pet name for it) many times when I lived down there. Went to a few sessions as well (I was active at the time). The Celestial Room has multiple elevations in it. It's definitely one of the more unique buildings and as I recall was very expensive to build. No doubt this is a 'hey look at me' temple to drive curiosity of the casual driver down the 5. I'll bet Chu

We're alone in the universe - let that sink in and then you have answers to most questions about organized religion and life in general. With this in mind a GA is a nothing burger, just a dude that played the game and met the right people to get where he is. Corporate America at its finest. I have to wonder what these frauds think when they are called as GA and find they are still the EXACT same

ChurchCo has money to spend. Members know there's 10's of billions in the pot and probably wonder where all that is going. To keep the sheep in the pen they build temples to: 1-tell the world 'hey - we're still relevant and growing like mad'; 2-invest tithes and offerings in TAX FREE real estate. They don't build for humanitarian purposes e.g. shelters and soup kitchens because those could be TAX

I think this is indicative how younger generations feel about the intrusive nature of the Honor Code and local leaders e.g. Bishops. What I don't see in this article is whether or not the revolt is being staged by members or non-members who are forced to live according the Honor Code to gain admission. https://www.ksl.com/article/46530636/byu-students-plan-sit-in-to-protest-honor-code-after-v

If you didn't think TSCC was a scam take a look at these very expensive (very pricey for Cedar City) home building lots around the Cedar City temple in southern Utah. This is just bizarre. What other church in the world does stuff like this? City Creek Living is one of the real estate development subsidiaries of TSCC. So this is the deal with new temples now - buy up a ton of land and then sell o

Echo Elder Berry - Can't thank Tom enough for his courage to expose ChurchCo for what it is. His incredible interview is found on Mormon Stories. I believe this is the most important interview that John Dehlin has done to date. Listening to Tom's interview is simply a must. I continue to find it so strikingly ironic that ChurchCo continues to claim it's divine nature (e.g. only true church

Tecun Uman was the last great leader of the Maya. This was a real person that has been documented to have actually lived on the earth and led the Maya. Curiously, we look in the BofM and we find a Nephite 'freedom fighter' named Teamcum. Boy aren't these two names/titles somewhat the same especially phonetically? Just say the two one after another and you'll be surprised how similar they are.

Maybe this dude should take this to the Antiques Roadshow for an estimate by experts who can better assess the value. Lots of factors such as prominence would be at play. I think I'll write the seller back and tell him to donate it to ChurchCo who undoubtedly would take it with open arms and promises of blessings in this life as well as the next. Maybe ChurchCo could take this in lieu of tithing

If you can't get people to join via the largest missionary force in church history why not write some books? Gee, I wonder if they will mention Dr. Bennett and the abortions he performed in Nauvoo to murder the illegitimate polygamist offspring? http://mormonpolygamydocuments.org/abortions/ https://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/church-releasing-narrative-history-early-saints

Just email your resignation to the membership email address and indicate you don't want contact from local leaders except to confirm that your membership has been dissolved. My resignation took a little over two months to complete and I had no contact from local leadership. I had not been active in my ward for nearly 20 years so I'm guessing they just expedited my request sans local leadership.

@elderolddog - there is certain reciprocity between members of an organization and the organization in terms of membership, privileges, etc. Proving damages is only one of many considerations. @Cheryl - churches are not excluded from privacy laws such as HIPPA. I am concerned how ChurchCo is using my PII to further their interests. If they report membership as any living being that was eve

@ Angela - yes they have their records and yes they own them - BUT they do not have the right to count those that have resigned in their statistical report UNLESS they list those individuals as 'resigned' or given some other designation that equates to leaving the organization. Do you understand what I am getting at from a legal and contractual perspective? Resignation is more than just saying 'I

The profits$ have declared that the temples are supposed to stand for the eternities here on planet earth and therefore must be constructed to withstand the elements for thousands of years. With this in mind, ChurchCo should have constructed the temples similar to the Egyptian Pyramids in Giza as those structures have done very well over some 4000 +/- years. According to BY, the earth was baptize
