That's why this situation is so chilling. Parents can be monsters.

I hope you're working on eventually moving away from these controlling people and finding new more comfortable friends. Mormons tend to try to control unmarried singles as if they're still minors. You don't want to live that role forever. Start expressing yourself with authority and don't cave to their "counsel."

I introduced the name and asked what the kiddies knew about him. One boy said, "I know all about The King. My Mama said is real name is Elvis." I still get a kick out of remembering that cute kid every year on MLK Jr. Day.

Skiing looks so fun, but I haven't lived around snow since I grew up, so I never learned to do it.

Very creative. I'd write a reply, but I don't know any of the big time celebrity priesthood guys.

Producing children they don't want beyond mistreating them. What monsters!

Those who did it were special, but those who didn't didn't lose esteem or standing.

If it isn't bad, keep it warm and covered and take an over the counter pain medication.

We owe it to you to believe it as you stated it.

I wouldn't stay with this person who seems destructive of you and your children. One sided relationships don't work out well. Marriage can be a challenge when both people involved are trying, but I don't see this in what you've written. I think you and your children deserve better. Little if any of this sounds like mormon caused dysfunctional behavior to me.

Salespeople aren't allowed to go door to door where I or others I know live. Religious and political people are allowed but I've never had a stranger come to my neighborhood to talk about politics or voting. Since you don't care, it isn't likely you'd be willing to help change laws or policies in your area as has been done in many places.

You also need to be fully aware of the living options and costs before you move and you need to have a contact or two in the area to help you learn the lay of the land. Do not move without knowing what you're doing and without having a modest nest egg to tide you over for a few months.

If an investigator a asked, "Will I be expected to go to the temple to have full respect in the church?" A mishie would likely answer that it would be a matter of free choice while knowing there would be considerable pressure in that direction. If someone said, "I can't afford to pay 10%, will that be acceptable?" The mishie would say, "Of course, it's up to you."

That's how I see it. Greater concern for a mishie who isn't here and less or none for the poster needing support.

because someone expressed how they felt about harassment, trespassing and lies. It was so ugly yesterday as to be deleted, thankfully. The same thing happened to me for years because I sprayed mishies with a garden hose when they trespassed and wouldn't leave my porch as if missionaries had a right to ignore repeated requests to stay away from my door. Oh, yes, many exmos and TBMs see mishi

I have also had random sales calls interfere with expected calls from doctors. They say, "Sorry I missed you. I'll try to discuss your test results on Wednesday if you're available." I find that nerve wracking! I understand about your job keeping you on stage all day and making alone time so vital. I remember my throat being tired from singing and talking to kiddies all day and m

The victims of missionaries also feel they can't vent or post here because they're called nasty racially charged names and told it's all their fault if they object.

I agree that it's difficult to stay, read and post when many here think there's only one true answer to every question on the face of the earth. LOL

But they are not all alike. We can't know by looking at them what they think and feel or if they are suicidal as asserted above.

Mormons and exmormons worship missionaries. Anyone who is mistreated by them is demeaned and reminded that these young people mean well. They are only trying to please their parents and get a pretty girlfriend when they return home. They likely don't want to be doing what they're doing but they think they have no choice, so everyone must endure them, even those who are in far worse situations tha

It's like the JWs who sit around at roadside rest areas confronting travelers who need to use the facilities. They also tuck their materials in with hospital fliers in waiting rooms and put them on coffee tables in national park and travel visitor centers. I had to use a laundromat when I was traveling and threw out piles of their materials set out for people to read while their clothes dried. I

My mother gave gifts to the TBM families but almost never to my exmo kids because she said I could better afford it than the poor TBMs who had too many kids and worse jobs.
