Here is the scene: It is fast Sunday and you are sitting in the pews as an exmo. The bishop opens up the mic for anyone who wants to bare their testimony. You walk up to the podium and you say (please keep it to one sentence):

Want2, remember that most of here on this board were JUST LIKE your husband at one time. Most of us were so narrow minded that we wouldn't have listened to anyone or read anything that was in any way contradictory to the church. I say give your husband time...and we all support you 100%!

The other day I was watching Everybody Loves Raymond and a couple was discussing how often they had sex.The man lamented that it seemed to be about every 2 weeks. It got me wondering... how often is the norm for a couple to have sex in our society? In general, do men want sex more often than women do? Hope this isn't getting too personal!

What about the Philospher's Drinking Song by Monty Python? Classic! Immanuel Kant was a real pissant who was very rarely stable. Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar who could think you under the table. David Hume could out consume Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, And Wittgenstein was a beery swine who was just as sloshed as Schlegel. There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya 'bout th

Let me start off by saying that I have been out of the church for over 3 years and have had my name removed from the church rolls. So a couple of days ago, I went out to grab the mail and found an envelope addressed to me with no return address. I opened it and was shocked to find that someone had anonymously sent me the first talk I ever gave in church (about 12 years ago). I had such a wei

I was just reading the thread about the woman whose mother would rather be dead than have her daughter leave the LDS church. How ironic...and hypocritical...that the LDS church pours out praises for people who sacrifice everything in their lives...even FAMILY...to leave their religions and join the LDS church. Sound eerily familiar?

Not a favorite, but just now suddenly remember this... Don't know the title but we sang: "A year has passed and you have brought Your birthday pennies here. For crippled children you have given 2 for every year we know that you're unselfish as Your pennies you now bring We thank you and give our love Happy birthday now we sing"

I was a "Christian", living life by the dictates of my conscience and being a good person. I was on a quest to find "the truth" when the mishies knocked at my door. Having 2 teenage sons at the time, I invited them in. If only I could go back in time... I would probably still be "seeking", and who knows what I would have settled on...7th Day Adventist? Episcop
