Back around early October Urchdorf acknowledged, or apologized, for some of the "mistakes" made by the church.

I (a lifelong never-mo/heathen) was astonished atthis. It's so unusual for heads of religious organizations--especially conservative ones--to make such statements.

Can anyone here direct me to any analysis or discussion of this statement? Among other things, it looked to me like a slap in the face for Boyd Packer & Dallin Oaks. Thanks.
