Because if anyone else posted anything else such as an atheist comic about there not being a god or a post about how being catholic is the right way to heaven you would be completely offended and gossip to all of your Mormon friends!

Do you want to know why preaching to non/ex Mormon friends about how the Mormon church is correct and all other churches are wrong is stupid?

Because if anyone told you the same thing about a different church, told them God doesn't exist, or even hinted that your church is wrong, you would be up in arms and avoid that person like the plague.

Do you want to know why the idea that being Mormon means you have special blessings and some sort of special privilege to stomp all over people's opinions, personal space, and free speech, while demanding complete and utter compliance and respect is stupid?

Because you don't. And until you can learn to play nice in the sandbox and respect other people and their opinions the same way you would like them to respect you, we don't have to play in the sandbox together.

TBMs are constantly being guilted into doing missionary work. For the 99.9% that honestly don't enjoy it and shudder at the thought of striking up a gospel conversation with a non-member friend/co-worker, Facebook offers a much easier alternative and so TBMs lap it up.

Put some random church-positive message on FB and feel good that you've done your missionary work = lose the guilt. Of course they fail to see that the constant barrage of pro-LDS stuff appears desperate and cultish to outsiders ('he/she doth protest too much').

It's another 'own goal' brought to you from LDS Inc and it's only going to get worse now that TSCC has latched on to FB and all things social media as another desperate attempt to try and bolster dwindling convert numbers.

Of course they're yet again too late. They continue to knock doors decades after the 1950's door to door vacuum cleaner / encyclopaedia salesman approach stopped really working (and still wear the same drab uniform). And they start using FB at a time when it has become less cool among young people......Jesus really needs to get his act together and start inspiring his prophets to take revolutionary steps that are innovative and ahead of the curve, instead of jumping on the bandwagon 10 years too late.

It's almost as if a bunch of old guys have finally been persuaded to listen to the views of younger, dynamic people in PR agencies. The agencies have probably been banging the drum of social media for a number of years but the 15 have only now wised up to it.

I think I've blocked newsfeed updates from about 17 people in the last week.

In fairness I'm the jerk that posts pictures of his kid all the time. :)
