https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/require-all-internet-providers-automatically-block-pornography/zBb7wQtq

Is it just me, or are the majority of these petitions dumb. Maybe it is just the ones I see posted on facebook by all mo friends.

UGH so stupid. In some countries didn't they also ban all "extreme" pornography? Meaning anything that isn't vanilla? Boooorringgg.

I think you are right.

It is also interesting (and not surprising) that the majority of signees are from UT.

Makes me wonder, how many of these people are guys with "addictions" thinking that they need better outside control to suppress their sexuality for them.

Would all the naked pictures you have of me qualify as porn?

They need 100,000 signatures by Aug 21st, and after 5 days, they have 316. Too many people like their porn fix I guess...

I develop software for a living, I have 2 young boys, and I don't block internet access at my house, it's crazy to think that you'll be able to block 100% of it, and if you can't, then your efforts are all for naught anyway.

If you could get access to .01% of the porn available online, you would be busy for the next decade at least just trying to get through it all.

I've found a much better solution is to teach your kids where it is safe to be online, and where it is dangerous. One simple rule we have is that if a website is popping up windows, we black list the site on the pc, and then it's done. The kids actually really enjoy self policing, and the often come and tell me about the site that they though would have fun games, but it popped up some windows, so they blocked it.

Of course if I could pawn my kids off on Obama, that might work too...
