New Pew LGBT Survey--Includes a Religion Section

Here is the report of an April Pew poll of about 2,000 LGBT people.

The survey included questions on religion, including one question (on Page 100) asking for perceptions of respondents on how friendly to LGBTs various religious affiliations were perceived.

The Muslim religion was seen by 84% of the respondents as unfriendly toward LGBTs

The Mormon church was second at 83% unfriendly

The Catholic Church: 78% unfriendly

Evangelical churches: 73% unfriendly

The Jewish religion: 47% unfriendly

Non-evang Prot. churches: 44% unfriendly

Prop 8, anyone?
