Could you imagine if we could plug in all the texts of the Bible (including all of the different versions and their original texts) into a computer that could understand its meaning and have it spit out what all the problems, inconsistencies, and contradictions were, and determine whether it actually makes any sense or not... AND to have it check scientific evidence and see what was found or contradicted... would it come up with a "true" value or a "false" value?

Do you think we could ever build a computer smart enough to do anything like this?

As a start, get one to sort out real vs. phony scientific evidence.

I once worked with a guy who would say "it's a scientific fact" because his friend who claimed to be a scientist said it. The friend was a nut case UFO enthusiast.

A lot of "science" is theory and hypothesis and can't be used as "fact" until some additional verification.

It would be like that episode of star trek where Kirk used logic on the computer causing it to blow up.
