Ex SIL and her skin color

Last night I was shocked to hear that my ex-SIL, who is from Central America, thinks that if she is worthy enough, Gawd will turn her skin color to white.

I can only imagine the pain and guilt she has felt all these years with that creepy thought from The Morg.

She was a convert from Catholicism. She didn't speak English much when my brother married her 47 years ago.

They are now divorced.

Their TBM children don't want anything to do with either of them.

So much for family unity, eh?

She really knows her Book of Mormon, doesn't she? And she'll have to dealing with Mormon self-loathing on two fronts, since no matter how hard she tries, she'll: 1. never be "worthy" enough for 2. her "unrighteous" dark skin to become white.

That's a pretty sad mentalilty to have to live with, isn't it?
