I had a family member leave on a mission the other day, earlier than expected because of the new age requirement. If the number of missionaries has increased ~70% and the number of people who are willing to listen to their message remains the same, what are all these missionaries going to do all day?

One would hope they will do volunteer work in their assigned community. But who knows?

Ha! That is too funny, volunteer work in the community... They think that going door to door, bothering people is volunteer work, their saving souls after all..

No, they'll do the same as all the missionaries before them. Pointless busy work, reactivating people who don't want to be reactivated and bruising their knuckles knocking on doors that don't want to be knocked on.

In economics this would be termed increased supply without demand to support it.

I would guess missionaries will get tasked more and more with reactivating in-actives.

Oh say it isn't so! Hell no! I'm sending my removal letter ASAP if that will be the case.

What those kids SHOULD be doing is going to college and getting an education, instead of wasting their time marketing an exploitative "religion".
