Ever since I quit attending really boring LDS church meetings, Satan has taken control of my life just like the church leaders said he would. I suddenly started smoking, drinking, cheating, swimming in the ocean and all manner of sins including looking at porn and wiping myself with pages from the mythical book of Mormon.

Well not really. I seem to have the same morals and values I had while being duped by lds, inc. I am still faithful to my spouse. I feel no guilt about having a beer or smoking a cigar and I am now wondering how soft the pages are from their mythical book. Does anyone know if the pages are Charmin soft or even absorbent? Can someone report back on this?

As far as swimming in the ocean, you bet, it is so much fun. I hope to go again soon and sin. Maybe even skinny dip in the hotel pool.

It is so much more fun to SIN than attend mind control meetings.

Amen brother! Thank you for your inspiring words and good example of apostasy.

I wasn't aware that swimming in the ocean was a sin? Except for on sundays of course.

It is against mission rules.

I like the idea as to the BoM but am quite concerned that some might run off on me. That sounds terrible - contamination from the BoM.

and I write as a nevermo.

Your title is facetious, but just what is "the mark" (since "sin" literally means 'missing the mark') that you're really aiming for in your life? Do you set the mark yourself (existentialist view), or is it set for you, either by something higher, either within you or outside you? Is your whole life in line with this mark?

From this post, it looks like your mark is the body, and your philosophy is socially-responsible hedonism. Am I missing the mark here?

Show some respect will you! Don't degrade your feces by wiping it with such filth!

I just wrote a post about how easy it is to spot Mormons on the beach, one reason being that they never went in the water. I didn't know they weren't allowed to. I just thought they were sullen, unhappy, weirdos who don't like nature.

Recycle your scriptures. Save a tree. Save a mind.

Technically it's not a sin to go in the ocean (unless your a missionary) but Mormons are taught that Satan has power and control of the oceans and water in general. So I was always taught to fear water as that is where the devil resides. Such nonsense!

Contrary to popular belief, wickedness as defined by the morg actually IS happiness. And sin is delicious to the taste and very desireable. Mmmmm

Sin is a concept invented by man to convince people they need saving. If people just realized there's no such thing as a sin, there would be no more religion. Religion is the biggest con on the planet. Once I realized the concept of sin was made up all my guilt simply vanished.
