Wondering if there are other Exmo's on/near Whidbey island and if anyone is interested in coffee in/near Langley, Whidbey Island, WA. No prepared "meeting" or agenda, just coffee and get-together.

My parents live there. Sithlord and I grew up there, graduated there, and got married in the Seattle temple when the ward there was a branch. Have you been on Whidbey a long time? If so, we might know you.

I've been on the island for a year now.

I hope to move back to that area after finishing more education.

Maybe we could meet up in Anacortes? That might be a good middle ground for several people? I don't live in Anacortes but it's not too bad of a drive for me.

How many people are in Island County?

Maybe even a ferry "cruise" from Annacortes to Friday Harbor (or another San Juan Island)?

That would be fun.

Anyone besides us two that would want to do that?

I would like to meet you sometime. I live noooorth of Seattle about 70 miles.

I have to drive to the airport at 10 tonight. Ugh. It takes about 1 1/2 hours with no traffic.

Anyway, maybe we could set up something for the month of June.

Another option might be somewhere around Edmonds. The whidbey island people could get off the ferry there. Something to think about.

Anacortes is good for Whidbey because they don't need to take a ferry to get there. It's also a good drop off place for anyone coming from other islands.

I'm thinking about coming up there to visit my brother in a few months. If I come, I'd love to meet you guys.

Lets work it out, and make it happen. I'm off the calendar in Sept. because my daughter's getting married, and an architect is doing a photo shoot of my house. That means it's going to have to be clean and look unrealistic. That's no small feat to accomplish. Between those two things, i'll be busy.

June, july, and august are pretty open at the moment. I'm going to the Oregon coast in june (not sure of date) and probably a few other jaunts here and there. Nothing set in stone yet.

Honestly, if I can get to Seattle from where ever we are, I can get home. Or I can find an excuse to stay the night in Seattle ;-)

I really, really, really want to see the whales. A lot.

There's a great whale watching tour at Friday harbor. The last time I went on it it was about $25. That's been a while though.

and a friend of his. His friend said something about a ferry ride around the San Juan Islands to see teh Orcas.

The only problem I have with coming up north is that the Sounder doesn't run on the weekends. I *want* to come north, so I can make a weekend out of it if I have time to plan.

I'll check ferry schedules to see what will get me where.

Our lives are crazy-busy (which I'm assuming is a common meme here), but do post any proposed dates / times, and we'll see if we can make it.

(And we're in utard once a month - I keep hoping one of these times I'll be able to attend the exmo conference, but so far, no joy.)
