It was a lakeside resort . There was originally a Mormon connection, but it was not an actual temple or other church building.

I had to tell my dad twice that the main character was hired by a Protestant church (Methodist?) to be their organist, because he was confused as to why a church in Utah would need to hire a professional organist in the first place. :facepalm:
