FYI for those who don't know about this LDS business owned by the Church. A place where mostly the rich and entitled can play.
BTW- DLL is not all sagebrush.. it is beautiful up there .
1:55 on the vid or 3:50 is informative.

Yes they do, frind of mine's parents did it a couple of times. It is a missionary calling to go up there before hunting season and run pretend pioneer wagon train trips a couple months, then when hunting season opens up, the place is opened up to wealthy hunters.

It's called the Huntin' for Jesus mission.

j/k of course about the name, mormons don't do anything "for Jesus."

Western Nebraska, large ranch/wildlife operation, 200000+ acres iirc. Commercial hunting preserve.

Two ranches in Argentina and Brazil. I was forwarded an email from Farm Reserve Inc looking for RMs to serve as paid managers. Size not given except to say they were above 50,000 acres.

100,000 plus acres at Mrtin Handcart disaster site (central Wyoming) plus a lot of leased land from BLM at the site. They tried to buy the land from the BLM, but it wouldn't sell. Smart BLM! BLM didn't want commercial development at a historical site.

Bird hunting preserve at south end of Utah Lake.

This makes me sick and is disgusting to me. Just like the bizarre foods guy. I hate that show. Good luck with murdering innocent animals that are trapped with nowhere to go. That shows some serious "skill"

Do not forget the big shots get to go hunting on Hill Cumorah. One summer I took my kids trout fishing on Hill Cumorah. We had to do catch and release. Still a lot of fun.

Hunting ranches are actually good for the environment. Keeps the land from being turned into a strip mall. That said, it's probably not the kind of thing a church should be doing with their money, unless all the meat from the dead animals is being used to feed the hungry, which I doubt.

Also, if it ever becomes more valuable as something non-environmentally friendly, expect the church to pave the place over without a second thought.
