This year we are studying the "Teachings of the Presidents of the church Lorenzo Snow"

On page x it says 1845 Enters into plural marriage. And then it list 2 names.
Wikipedia says he has "took two wives. Later, he took 7 more."

Mary Adaline Goddard (8 March 1812 Connecticut – 28 December 1898). Married 1845. Age 33 Him 31

Sarah Ann Prichard (29 November 1826 Ohio – 30 November 1900). Married 21 April 1845. Age 18 Him 31

Harriet Amelia Squires (13 September 1819 Ohio – 12 May 1890). Married 17 January 1846. Age 26 Him 32

Eleanor Houtz (14 August 1831 Pennsylvania – 13 September 1896). Married 1848. Age 17! Him34

Caroline Horton (25 December 1828 England – 21 February 1857). Married 9 October 1853. Age 24 Him 39

Mary Elizabeth Houtz (19 May 1840 Pennsylvania – 31 May 1906. Married 1857. Age 17! Him 43

Phoebe Amelia Woodruff (4 March 1842 Nauvoo, Illinois – 15 February 1919). Married 4 April 1859. Phoebe was the daughter of Wilford Woodruff. Age 17! Him 45

Sarah Minnie Ephramina Jensen (10 October 1856 – 2 January 1908). Married on 12 June 1871. Age almost 15! And he was 57!

Out of 9 wives 6 teenagers!

Lorenzo Snow (April 3, 1814 – October 10, 1901) was the fifth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1898 to his death. Snow was the last president of the LDS Church in the nineteenth century.

Lorenzo's last child, Rhea Lucile Snow (5 November 1896 – 9 July 1976) was born when he as 82. Rhea's mother was the last wife, who would have been about 40 when the child was born.

you are right haha he didn't even follow his own Manifesto.

Also noteworthy is that he was already a polygamist before leaving for Utah. There were more things going on in Nauvoo than current mormons know or want to know. Fundamental mormonism is what it used to be.... and not an odd, esoteric, breakoff.

As FLDS is, LDS once was. As LDS is, FLDS may become.

Wow - I should dig more deeply into LS' life. He's a family ancestor on my Mom's side. She was always very proud of that.

I wonder if she still would be had she known about all his shenanigans.

JS was quoted as having told a friend that he needed to find some young pretty thing to warm his bed. Im paraphrasing, of course, but that is the jist.

Growing up a NOM in the '80s, if I wasn't at church, I didn't care about anything church oriented. I didn't pray, read scripture, study church history, nothing. I thought it was all boring. Whenever teachers brought up Eliza R. Snow, I thought she was Lorenzo's wife. No one said she was, but no one said who she was exactly. I also thought that because his name was Lorenzo, that he had to be part Italian. lol
