Of all of the church leaders, I always enjoyed Monson's sappy, but memorable talks, but his style of speaking drove me nuts sometimes.

I can see the GF style even in his younger years; but that was interesting to see him as a young man.

Does anyone know when the GF style of speaking became vogue? Was it Joseph Smith himself that popularized it?

Well Monson, Snagglepuss and the Funky Phantom could be one and the same.

That last one was infuriating. Monson railed against some imaginary person cleaning her house too much and being concerned with furnishings and wardrobe items -- says the leader of the church that spent $1.5 billion on a mall.

You are much braver than I. Monson was ascending the stairs as he was commanded to and then I closed the window! Couldn't take it, never watched the video.

Pictures of him look like he has a mouth full of dentures. Sounds like dentures too.
