My return missionary roommate was having a tryst with the girl working at hot dog on a stick. Still found time to set me up with the missionaries. He took a break to get married in the temple (to another girl) and before long he was enjoying corn dogs and his girl on the side was back to making lemonade. You learn a lot about the double-life as a non-mo.

I'm guessing that the high sales volume at that particular store was due to the relative lack of other stores in the area willing to sell pornography. I graduated from a well-known Mormon university right there in Happy Valley, UT, and we learned all about the supply and demand "curves."

I have an excommunicated cousin who was raised in Happy Valley, but she wasn't even born in Utah. Anyway, she's almost 10 years older than me, & she confirmed one time years ago that when she was living there, that many of the TBM kids drank, did drugs, slept around, etc etc. Then would basically lead double lives as good little TBMs going to church on Sunday, Seminary during the week, being good little TBM boys & girls. She said they were all hypocrites.

I always heard rumors that there was a lot of sex outside of marriage going on, but I never could get in on it. In truth, if any of the Mormon girls, who I dated, told me they were comfortable with sex, I probably would have gone along with it. I never asked though, because I was too afraid of rejection. Which, looking back, might be why none of my dating experiences never lasted that long with any of the LDS girls. They may have wanted me to ask.

In the town where I grew up, "If you want to score, date a mormon girl..."

my rebellious tbm friend became an escort in the morridor the minute she turned 21. Most of her colleagues were also LDS. She made a boatload of money. Cold hard cash up to $1500 per week. She bought a house with that money. The only reason she stopped was because she came across an undercover cop. Since she didn't solicit sex up front he let her go with a warning.
Her customer list was a million miles long though. How many of those do you think were LDS based upon church statistics?

I can assure you that more than 80% were sex starved TBM's. I know this because she used to report back to me. She eventually met a nevermo, got married and is still married to this day.

All these stories are merely anecdotal SEXceptions to the rule.

BTW Tupperwhere, if "more than 80% were sex starved TBMs," the other 20% were gay mormons.

Not surprising at all. Do a little research on some of the strictest Muslim societies, too, and you'll find they have extremely high rates of rape (including rape of children), internet porn use, prostitution, etc. Yet I have had several of my Muslim students and acquaintances insist "There is no rape, sex crime, porn, etc." in Muslim countries.

While chastity and modesty certainly have their good points, I believe that any culture which is *obsessed* with those things and represses its members exceedingly will also have extreme acting out, whether through rape, excessive porn use, whatever.

I worked at a commoncents store operated by Moyle petroleum right after I finished high school. I worked the night shift on the truck stop side of one of their busiest stores. The owner, Gilbert Moyle, is a mormon guy and man did he make a lot of money selling porn mags, cigarettes, and coffee. This was late 90's when porn mags were still flying off the shelves. I sold many a copy of juggs magazine to so many late-night lonely truckers. I will always remember the title of one particular copy that sold out, "Bust Nuts on our Butt Sluts". I'll never forget that combination of words. I remember the moment when I realized that mr. moyle was paying tithing (and a lot of it) based on the sales of his $5 porn mags. I remember wondering if church headquarters knew that this were the money came from. Ha! It's funny to think about now.

I wish I would have known that Steve when we were at BYU, I would have saved gas money on a couple of trips up to SL County.

When I was a mishie we had a giant box-o-porn delivered to our back door two days after Christmas. Pretty sure it was my comp who had a friend in the ward deliver it to us. I remember "A Taste of Tawny" being one movie amongst many, not to mention "Shaved Model", "Hustler" etc. all the real hard core ones. He beat me up when I tried to throw them in the dumpster. Wish I hadda just read them all and whacked to high heaven.
