Interesting....

JS spent his whole life looking for gold and treasure....Itn's interesting he finally found gold plates, but never got any cash for them...What a story for fools.

Excellent observation....

...and if presented with this conundrum, TBM's would twist it into a faith-promting story: "When Joseph finally found gold, it was the revealed Word of God, and he realized that it was more precious than mere earthly treasure!" or something along those lines...
