OH Boy! My in-laws are going on a mission!

Isn't that super speshul? We don't know where yet, but the papers are in.

I kind of hope they are called to actually proselyte. My Mother-in-Law is a real piece of work. If they are called into the mission field my MIL will be the "Utah Mormon" arc type that gives the rest a bad name. Pushy, arrogant, and yet so nice and pleasant on the surface. I imagine she will scare away the investigators while alienating the young elders and sisters.

My FIL isn't quite as bad, but he definitely understands BKP's unwritten order of things. BY The Book And Beyond, will be his motto.

Any guesses as to where they will be called?

I guess Oakland, California where the holy-roller preacher predicts the end of time.

See the other thread on this. If your in-laws mission territory is near the radio preacher's office building it will be like two dogs in a cage and only throw in enough meat to keep one alive every day.

I loved it when my MIL went on a mission...2 years of just, well..

no MIL. What else can be said. It was heaven.

I have to confess, that thought has crossed my mind.

Does in make me a bad person that I hope it's a full 2 years and not just a 6th month thing?
