Hey, it's me again--cludgie. I'm back. Well, not "back" back, but sneaking in for a session again because I got to reading something on my Facebook about the www.mormonthink.com guy. I read all the threads on it and got really angry and can't help raising hell about it. So in case there really are some LDS leaders both great and petty on here, or any members of the SCMC, etc., it's an opportunity to tell them that they are cowards, able and willing to attack and threaten a member, but not able or willing to actually confront the truth.

The Mormon church is supposed to be about the truth, but quite obviously it is not. It is about prevaricating. It is about obfuscating. It is about fabricating, and it is about revision. But it's not about truth. Instead, it is the only religious organization I know of where you can get skewered for talking about actual church doctrines, or for writing about church history, or early revelations, topics preached at General Conference, and the real origins of the church. When one speaks the truth, one does so at his or her own peril.

So all ye shrinking, cowardly, little, and small-minded LDS minions who may be sneaking around here, whether you are paid church employees or old coots and biddies wasting your time on a senior mission, it's time to make it perfectly clear that you are working on the side of fraud, fiction, and futility. Go stuff that in the Pack-man's pipe and make him smoke it for us, will ya?

Again, sorry to burst in. See you in hell. Or at the ex-Mo conference, whichever comes first. (I'm sincerely hoping it's the conference, but you never know.)

Oh say, what IS truth?

To a Mormon, it's whatever makes them look good. And we all know how some truths aren't very useful for Bro. Packer & friends. So I guess that makes everything else a useless, inconvenient truth.

Their Dear, Dear Leader for so many years, even Gordon Hinkley gave a talk in April 2003 General Conference entitled, Loyalty." My favorite "do as I say, not as I do" gem from Gordon's talk states:

"Be loyal to your better self. Be loyal to the best that is in you. Be faithful and true to the covenants that are associated with the priesthood of God. You cannot wallow about in lasciviousness, you cannot lie, you cannot cheat, you cannot take advantage of others in unrighteousness without denying that touch of divinity with which each of us came into this life. I would pray with all of my strength, brethren, that we would rise above it and be loyal to our best selves."

...except when your best self discovers that TSCC is false and your integrity demands that you find the truth. Then forget what Gordon said. He was just speaking as a man. Shut up and obey. Keep your lip zipped, unless you are bowing your head and saying, "yes" because TheBrethren's real truth is nothing--NOTHING--matters more than obedience to their ever-changing expectations and demands. Integrity be damned. If you insist on integrity, on telling the documented, fact-verified truth, you will be excommunicated for apostacy.

In closing, I'd like to leave you with a another quote from the same talk by the then-living prophet, even President Gordon B. Hinckley:

"Each of us has to face the matter—either the Church is true, or it is a fraud. There is no middle ground. It is the Church and kingdom of God, or it is nothing."

Is there a "cohort" he hasn't alienated? Even Mormons are mad at him now.

I think it is interesting that Tom Monson will give his flock all kinds of hell about going out and visiting the "lost sheep." But would he haul his backside down to the sit with the EXmormons to take on some questions from the crowd?
