http://www.missionaryhelper.com/membermissionary.htm

I wonder if yesterday's TBM poster 'wifetomike' took some pointers from it.

Don't under estimate their power. They might be going to a softer sell, but their intent is still the same, to build their financial base with new tithe payers.

!Boy the more things change the more the stay the same. I heard this same crap all the time. The thing is if being Mormon was so great wouldn't. There be much higher activity rates and more members willing to share the faith. The first paragraph. Alsaid all that needed be said about member missionary work.

Check this excerpt out, and remember, this document has a 2001 date:

"The number of Southern Baptist churches among one group in the interior of India increased from 36 in 1993 to 2000 in 1998,with the number of churches doubling every year. Similarly, the number of Southern Baptist churches in Cambodia rose from 6 in 1992 to 194 in 1998,almost doubling every year. The number of LDS church units worldwide grows at a rate of only about 2% per year."

In 2012, TSCC established it's FIRST ward in India.

Wow. TSCC is seriously behind.

It seems quite remarkable that the average Latter-day Saint, who possesses such a vitally important message for the world, seems so much less inclined to share that message than many Christians of faiths with far less to offer.

hahahaha quite remarkable

My guess would be that in those churches membership is a bit more fun, which makes people WANT to attend in community with others.

The more barebones and regimented Mormonism becomes, the more it will shrivel in membership and converts.

So much for the inspired program. Also he notes the language issue. Does this mean there is no longer the notion of the almighty priesthood with its gifts of tongues? I thought the CIA studied the MTC for how they taught languages but just did not understand the power of the priesthood? /snark

The writer believes is that Mormonism is divine.
Right there is the problem in a nutshell.

Unfortunately, Mormonism is a fraud.
So, which aproach is used from that point out does not really matter, does it?

Mormonism is a defective product which does not sell itself and cannot be marketed successfully.
On a conscious or subconscious level, members are aware of this and that is why they do not put in more efforts to convert others.
