I friend of the wife just sent this to her asking if she thought this would be a fun activity for the young women to do in our area. This looks like Utah or Arizona. The young men are sending YouTube video messages to the young women in the form of a lip sync.

Warning this will bring out the Mormon gag reflex so view with caution.

What've they got the 12 year old boys in there for, telling girls that they're beautiful and that they desperately want them?

This stuff has made me want to vomit since I've seen it. Anyone else remember the Mormon dating invitations? With the stupid stuff like putting Christmas lights all over a car or whatever?

I guess that's how you stay a virgin until marriage...

This song is so shallow. It tells girls they should be shy, unassuming and be able to light up a room with their beauty. Not a great way to bolster a girl's confidence and sense of identity.

The song is bad enough. A video? If my boy were in this group, I'd ground him for a week, then make him hook up with the class slut.

I seriously need to start writing pop songs. I am to old and ugly to be in a boy band myself but maybe I could get royalties for writing the music. I can't believe pre teen girls all over the world will listen to this crap all day long and will pay tons of money to buy any merchandise related to these guys.

OMG!!! what are you all talking about??? This song is about a woman's/girl's inner beauty. I personally find it sweet and very appropriate. Good grief, had this been done by any other group of teens you would all be all over how kind they are to tell the girls their age that they are beautiful just the way they are. For fucks sake...........just because they happen to be Mormon's does not make this bad.

UGH!!!....face palm!

Your role in life is to be be pretty and to look demurely at the ground. Sisters should make pies and babies, not waves. Keep sweet and keep smiling.

Oh, and if you ever realise how beautiful you are (and think you could do better), the magic spell will be broken and you will not be beautiful anymore.

Think Princess Di when she was courting Charles. Look up shyly through your fringe to show the males you are no threat to them.

If no male wants you, you are a sweet spirit and will be given to one as an extra wife when you die - so it's all good!

Agreed with bigred if it was any other group of boys you guys would think it was cute. Looks like from the comments made on the video they did this for the girls that were up at camp. I think it's a little cheesy but still is cute. Props to those boys, the boys in my ward would have never done that when I was growing up.

I thought it was totally sweet. No more gag-reflex inducing than the usual teen blather and these guys were talking to their peers...saying you are special.

I had a big brother who told me that boys don't like "War-paint." (Makeup) I took his advice on lots of stuff and I remember one time him telling me that I was pretty and I almost started crying...

Sorry, OT I know, I LIKED the boys video...

Meh, I think it is kind of cute and sweet. I'd much rather the YM spent time doing this than going on splits or being lectured about touching themselves. It's totally hoaky, but I bet it makes the girls feel good and get a laugh.

I kind of like this. Song sucks, dancing sub-par, I like it. This seems like a fun and appropriate activity for teenagers. Sure beats some of the sucky stuff YM/YW usually do!

gross! (That's what my 12yo daughter says about this video) :) She loves the real band that sings this so this vid is a complete insult and massive turnoff. I've taught her well.

I think it's pretty cute myself. I'll bet it took a lot for some of these ym to do the video. I'd also bet it made the yw feel special, no matter the unintended message (and was at least a more modern vehicle for delivering it). Fun and funky.
