didnt joseph smith say that any man can see god if he has enough faith?

i swear i've read this somewhere. anybody have a reference?

"Enough faith" is always the kicker.

Mormonism and some other religions say you can accomplish seemingly impossible things if you just have enough faith. Of course, no one ever has ENOUGH faith to raise the dead or move mountains or get out of a financial hole by paying tithing. "Oh, sorry, Brother Sucker, your faith, though great, wasn't quite enough."

No, a man has to hold the priesthood

D&C 84:22 - without the priesthood no man can see the face of God and live. Which implies that women cannot see the face of God.

But then D&C 93:1 says that if you forsake sin, you will see the face of God.

Hmmm.... now I'm confused.

But wait! JS saw God when he was only a sinful kid, not holding the priesthood.

But when he made that part of the story up, he did have the priesthood, so it is all good. :-) [I am in apologist mode so timeline is not as important as building testimony.]

I clearly lack faith. Although, I did bump a much larger woman in our ward one Sunday. Can that be considered moving a mountain?
