Andrew Jenson, assistant church historian, published a list about 1887 of the wives of Joseph Smith, gleaned from official church records. Fawn Brodie found additional wives listed in the Nauvoo temple records. See her appendix in "No Man Knows My History."

This is a quick, easily accessible start for your own interest.

However, if you plan to talk to a TBM about JS' wives, it is probably wise to stick to LDS official sources such as Richard Packham has mentioned above.

Family Search dot org. Isn't that official?

Clicking on each wife's pedigree and family gives more info.

You can spend hours doing the math and looking up who was married to whom.

Looks to me like when JS was killed, BY and HCK swept in and divided up some of the wives.

Look up his ancestral file, it shows the wives.
