I don't think today's version of Christmas is pleasing to God. Don't make Christmas go away- make advertisers, retailers & mindless sheep go away!

in my christian times december was definitely my favourite month - but not any more. the first years after losing my christian faith i was just depressed during the x-mas days. then annoyed etc. this year i am just waiting for the days to become longer and then hopefully in some weeks warmer again ...
but last week i really had to laugh while sitting together with a group of catholic women in a beautiful catholic church center doing yoga with 'hanukkah candles' in the middle of our circle and singing together the following mantra:

Tis the season to be lonely and miserable.

I LOVE Xmas time!
The scent of the tree in our family room, the decorations in the stores, even the commercials on tv during this season.

We are having rain in So. California, which adds to the Xmas feeling in this part of the country where the seasons change so little.

I think tomorrow we'll take a ride into the mountains to enjoy snow, if possible. And we'll go out to dinner,then have a fire going and sit in the jacuzzi.

It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas.....

I've been watching some of their other vids

I am trying to reach out.....to friends and loved ones that I have "neglected". Really....I want to connect AGAIN.

I feel like I'm coming out of a fog/hole/lonely place because I am.

It's my 4th Xmas without my DH. He died Dec. 9 2007. We weren't traditional but we had family rituals.....mostly just being together Xmas Eve and Xmas Day with a living tree and gifts we picked out together.

I really miss how it was.......

And I am not happy with shopping, parking and the crowds and lines.
I'm actually surprised how busy it is everywhere.....Chili's and Panera Bread were packed this week. But I was with good friends and we had a great time.

I bought a beautiful and large noble fir, and spent a couple of hours trimming off the base just right. I set it up, put on the lights, decorated it, and three days later one whole side was brown. Now I have to take it down tomorrow and get rid of it, then will put up the fake christmas tree and re-decorate. I'm pissed. Damn Christmas.

If you want a fun christmas go to Japan. They love christmas just for the fun of it.
