Recent posts have mentioned the vast business empire that is the Mormon church. TSCC owns farms and ranches and non profit and for profit businesses. There have also been several posts about TSCC going down and no longer existing as a church.

My question is who is going to own those assets if the church does "go down" and no longer exists as a church? If there is no church to own those assets, who will they then belong to?

ONE THING FOR SURE, THE FAITHFUL TITHE PAYERS WILL BE LEFT OUT IN THE COLD.

It wouldn't be so bad if tithe payers were actual stockholders in the corporation.
But as it stands, they get zero for all their efforts.

Legally, they are already owned, and will continue to be owned, by the president of the corp..

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. While this would be a lot of fun to watch TSCC crumble, powerful organizations with a lot of money can be exposed a million times over. It'll amount to a mere bump in the road for them. It's going nowhere any time soon.

ah, come on, let us dream a little. Can you imagine if we all got those litigation letters like shareholders did with Enron, World Com, etc? I'd pay off my mortgage with the settlement.

It's all owned by Monson as head of a corporation sole.

This not only keeps it out of individual member's hands, it means that if there is another schism, nobody gets any money except LDS Inc.

You already know who will get it all: the CEO and Board of Directors.
