The thing about posting online is this:
people reading the posts cannot see facial expression, gestures, body language etc.

Same goes for hearing the verbal tone and voice inflection.
Sometimes a post meant to humorous/sarcastic
is not read that way.
I hope elder Spock sticks around,
he really is a good dude:)
