I'm 23 years old and have been really sick for about five years. I've been through countless tests and nothing has shown. Whatever is happening with my health is getting worse. The last thing left is to have exploratory surgery. Doctors have an idea what is going on, but can only diagnose it by looking inside. These are times I wish priesthood blessings worked..sigh. Most people around me think I'm a Hypochondriac, without my husband, my mom, and one or two other family members believing me, I think I would go crazy. I'm to the point, I wonder myself if I'm crazy. My extended family doesn't really care about the down part of my life or my accomplishments. For example, I graduated with a Bachelors degree(first in my whole family to get that far) and none of the family(besides mom, dad, and one sibling) showed up. I have so much family that live within 20 minutes of where I graduated, but nothing. However every single one of those people were able to drive 4 hours to a cousins high school grad. HIGH SCHOOL! BS! Does no one see the difference? Sorry to dump this on you guys. I've just had a bad couple days health wise, have hit my limit....and there is no where else to turn.

I get the health thing. I've been sick for 20 years. All kinds of things get crazy. People start treating you different. They don't know what to say. They forget you're the same person you were before you got sick.

I hope they can find what's causing your problems, and I hope they can fix it. I'm sorry to say PH blessings really don't work. I could fill a notebook with all the blessings i've had that didn't come true. Put your hope in the doctors. If anyone can fix this, it will be them.

I'll keep you in my thoughts. I know what it's like to have a bad health day. I have a lot of them. Do what you can, and don't beat yourself up for not meeting the expectations of others.

I did the school thing too. I was 44 when I graduated. My husband and kids showed up. That's it. No parents, no sibs, nobody. I just filed that away for later.

Exploratory is the last resort? And multiple specialists agree? Good luck! I hope you can get a diagnosis and a treatment.

And congratulations on your BS degree! Your extended family sounds clueless.

I, too, have struggled (and still struggle) with chronic, unidentifiable health issues. I was thrown out of an ER near Chicago last year, even after my GI doctor called ahead and said I was coming, for being a "drug seeker." I'm so sorry, and I hope you can find some answers.

Congratulations on graduating. I graduated at 32 with my BA. My dad was there to see me, and he was so proud. He's the youngest of 13, and of all the grandchildren, I believe I'm the first to graduate. So I know what a big deal it can be, and I hope someone in your life is making a really big fucking deal over it. :)

I'm sorry fidget. I think you're pretty damn righteous and have earned the right to vent.

I really hope it gets better. :)

I am glad you have a few good ones to be there in the tough times. Any number other than zero is great.

I wish you all the best with your health issues, and everything else. Just hang in there and keep fighting. Anyone who can get themselves out of the cult brainwashing is strong enough for a lot of other things too.

Can you describe your symptoms for me?

Without going into detail, a lot of it started seemingly with my reproductive system. I was misdiagnosed with a hernia and a bunch of other things. It has moved to kidneys, intestines, lungs and is pretty much effecting all of my systems.

You didn't mention being on any medications, but if you are, have drug interactions been ruled out?

Aaaahh fidget, sounds trite but hang in there. It feels so good when you do get the answer to your medical problems. Treasure your good days to get you thru the bad. Everything changes, take that to the bank.

I know about no pain meds. I spent most of yesterday in my bed but today it seems all pain is gone, so far :)

You are a sweet soul and my best thoughts go your way. Keep us posted

Receive my lay blessing I humbly offer -

May you accept all that comes your way with open mind and heart
May you have tenacity that grows
May your mind never cease the desire to learn and improve
May you grow in all your desires for good in your life
May you love
And May you find it is all within you

Namaste

Pat

Family isn't the people you are related to.
Family is the people you can count on.
