I wonder this every time I hear them talk about the importance of temple work.

You'd think if someone went through an endowment session they were part of, it would be big news in the ward. But I've never heard of anyone claiming to have looked over in the next seat and seen Thomas Monson or one of the other heavyweights. Anyone else?

y'know how at some amusement parks they take a picture of you as you're descending on the roller coaster to capture your expression? I think they need to install something like that at the temple for the newbies. And ya, I'm thinking that the "12" do their own special sessions? Or at least that's probably what they report back to the masses.

If they do, it's probably private session.
I don't know why they would bother with it though. They know about recycled names. Their genealogy is done. I'm sure they have the thing memorized. It doesn't do anyone any good for them to go thru.

the 2nd endowment, "Calling and Election" made sure, sort of supercedes the need to do all of the other mundane temple ordinance stuff. Even Christ and Eloheim do not participate in the endowment sessions anymore, which, to them, equivicates to riding a tricycle.

The last time I was in the temple I caught a peek of Elder Perry in full garb, walking down a hall. I think they get their own special sessions though, because it was just him and 2 temple workers.

My grandfather was a worked in Ogden. The Hinkster and wife came through for a session, just like any other old couple. No muss, no fuss.

I wonder if they ever forget the name of the 2nd Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood?

"Uh... Health in the navel, marrow in the bones, strength, uh... Something-something-something... throughout all generations of time and, uh... throughout... throughout... I dunno, 'eternities' or something like that."

Then because he's a GA, they are too afraid to prompt him like they do with you and me, and just say, "Let him enter!"

And that'd be why names get recycled. :D

I saw Mitt Romney in a session in the SLC Temple with his lovely wife. I didn't talk to him but I did...um...never mind.

I thought I heard or read somewhere that they go on a certain day each week (like Thursday) and then reconvene in the COB to discuss church business after being "edified" by the temple.

I would assume that when they go they have private sessions NOT with the general public.
