I am not a nudist, nor do I want to be. (Nor do any of you want me to be...)

However, some cat was kicked off lds.net a few years back because he kept posting, and claiming, that he was a nudist, and when he was younger so were a couple of the GA's.

Anyone else hear of nudist General Authorities?

Never heard of it, but an image comes to mind of a farmer tan and a stark white body that from a distance looks like garments. hehe

not gonna happen.

I was disciplined for testifying at a (Washington) state Parks & Recreation Commission meeting Open Hearing about nudism. The matter for consideration was setting aside a PORTION of a state park as Clothing Optional, it didn't fly :-(

FYI: although some 'swingers' are nudists, at aanr recognized parks, that's not allowed. What happens 'behind closed doors' is a different subject, but by & large, nudists do the Same recreation as everyone else.

People who would Never be swingers might accept nude recreation, It's my understanding that only a small % of nudists are.

An 84 year old neighbor told me that at the Deseret Gymnasium that was located across the street from the S.L. temple, all of their swimming was nude at one time. They had men's and women's days, and suits were prohibited. There is a lot of information available on the internet about how common this practice was in past decades.

Hey, Texasguy. How's life treating you? Life is pretty good here in Utah, but I miss Texas. I still laugh that we sat together often in Gospel Doctrine and how no idea we were both apostates.

The nude swimming was also done in public schools when I was growing up. I am not near 84.

Go to Beaver Creek Nudist Camp near Kamas, Utah. It's where all the naked leaders of the TSCC go to commune with their holy temples.

Too bad guynoirprivateye, Washington State is not as progressive as Mormon country.

Beaver Creek was by membership. Just have to be a little crazy. So "show 'em your nutz"

Sorry should say: Show them you are (you're) nutz. Big edit.

Take the highway west of Rexburg, ID and you'll find "Beaver Dick State Park." :)

Runtu, I live in Utah. I think you may have me confused with someone else. I was born in Texas, and picked that name to throw off any family that might be able to connect me with my story I related on here months ago.

I had a girlfriend that worked at a scuba shop in Orem. They had an onsite diving pool that was closed on a certain night on a set schedule. It was closed so that a Mormon Nudist group could come and swim. As my girlfriend was the person who scheduled them, and locked up after them, I know it’s true.

Hubby and I were naked, in a hot tub, late at night in a resort in Jamaica. A 30-something couple got in, naked, and we began chatting. They were from another East Valley city not too far from us. I spoke up, "Well, can I assume you're not Mormon?" And she replied "Nope, we're Mormon."

I am rarely at a loss for words, but sure was at that moment.

Jamaica? No, she did it of her own free will.

Considering the rate at which ChurchCo scripts people's lives, I'm TOTALLY SURPRISED that MORE of them aren't nudists as an expression of individuality / 'reversal-rebellion' of the control-subjication of their masters.

Mormonism is like a fast-spinning carousel; if you don't hold on, you get spun off and land in a random spot.

While I am not a active nudist, I did go to a few of their "socials". I was surprised one time when a couple showed up that I knew. They were both from my old singles ward and to the best of my knowledge, were still active in the morg. At the time her dad still lived in the ward where I lived.

One thing about nudists, the body size and type really don't matter. All were accepting of my size and there were people bigger (and smaller) than me. It just didn't matter to them, and that is they way it should be.

This is exactly why I want to go to a nudist resort someday...in fact, someday SOON! If nobody's wearing clothes, nobody needs to feel self-conscious.

I always wanted to do this, even as a TBM.

It's a good time. An ex and I used to go swimming in the pool at Mon Chalet in Denver (Aurora). Coloradans will know the place.

Quite a thrill. I recommend it at least once.
