I think someone who posts here created it and put it up on youtube. Whoever that is, it's a superb piece of work (and it's getting a lot of views). I love it when you go into character when reading a quote from a mormon publication. Too funny!

It's a devastating presentation.

This was actually the video that led me to mormonthink, which led to my disbelief in TSCC. Thanks to whoever made it!

Because that's my voice for most of the video. I worked for almost a year recording the text on Sunday Mormonings while the family was at church. I can't take any credit for the contents or the research that went into it but I'm still thrilled to know it helped at least one person out.

The funny thing is, nobody in my family knows anything about that video. I had convinced myself that if/when it gets to 100k views I was going to tell my daughter about it just because 100K views is kinda a big deal. Besides, if she actually watched it she just might wonder and start asking her own questions. Now I'm chickening out.

How much speech therapy did you have to go thru to get rid of the singsong lilt? Or did you have the mormon monotone drone? :-)

Nice video. Judging by the comments I read, it's really bugging some TMBs.

It's probably still pretty obvious that I'm a utah native based on my speach patterns but I do try to hide it. There were many "do-overs" as I worked through the project to try and minimize the Utah twang and the Mormon lilt. I have this fantasy that I sound like a young Walter Cronkite....yeah, just a fantasy.

I love the comments too. A couple of times a week I go and read through them. It cracks me up that the faithful latch on to some minor little issue and try to justify their belief with scriptures. Um... hello, what about the actual, big issues presented in the video? So far I don't think anybody has come up with anything that counters them.

You sound like a pro. No kidding. I love your style. Maybe a career in voice overs, eh?

Stunted, any interest in setting up a web page that has a URL - something like www.Top10MormonProblems.com that would make your video easier to find and link to?

If so let me know and I could give you a hand...

I know he has a website built to specifically host the video but wider exposure is the whole idea. If he doesn't weigh in I'll send him an email.

Thanks!

I have had the pleasure of recommending your video both in this forum to several people as well as in person. I think it is the single best go-to source about, well, problems with Mormonism.

If you've got it covered great. I'm a web programmer, so I could help get something set up for you, but it sounds like you're already a step ahead of me.

Your voice is perfect. Have you looked into doing voice overs and reading books on tape? Seriously, you do an amazing job!

Good job, Stunted. Congrats on the video reaching 100,000 views. Some of my friends and I have been working on translating your video into Russian. We anticipate finishing in a few weeks and when we do I'll post the YouTube URL and also try to link it to your video. You should really think about having this translated to other languages as well. Resources on Mormonism are woefully lacking in basically every language execpt English. Some of the information from your video is totally new to Russian speakers. However, Mormon missionaries are spreading Mormonism all over the former USSR. In 2010 in my native Kiev, Ukraine a gigantic Mormon temple was built. Keep up the good work, Stunted. Did you tell your daughter?
