I worked indirectly for a franchise Marriott that was operated by a non-LDS owner. The HR training stuff was a bunch of fluff nonsense that reminded me of the church, but other then that, I didn't see anything. We did put the Book of Mormons in the room, and had to keep several cases in storage, but the only time we ever had to replace them was when they were vandalized or tossed in the garbage.
They talk a big game about how they are one of the greatest companies to work for, and how they have great benefits. They then talk about how their philosophy is if you take care of the associates, the associates will take care of the guest. Note, it is against corporate policy to refer to employees as employees, they are called associates. They then go about treating you exactly the same as you would get treated anywhere else. It was actually demoralizing, since being in Florida, we knew we were being lied to.

So, basically, they acted like any other large corporation.
The CEO of Marriott International is Arne Sorenson. I knew him and his wife when I lived in the DC area. Before becoming CEO he was CFO of the same. His father was bishop of Metro Twin Cities of the ELCA (Lutheran). Arne and his wife are faithful members of a Lutheran church in DC.
I would imagine that making millions of dollars a year as Marriott's CEO he would not be delving into things Mormon.
I don't know anything about working for the Marriott family itself, but as far as big corporations go Marriott International is pretty typical, maybe somewhat better than most. The company is serious about quality control even at its budget properties (and thus fairly hard on its employees and franchisees) and in the hospitality industry that's not really a bad thing. I
The daughter Marriott was there. She spoke about pushing down unions. I remember her being fiercely conservative. I looked at her and wondered if she was wearing Garments. I was a student at the time being hosted by my school and some higher up owners of other international hotels. After hearing her speak I realized that I was not conservative enough to be in the hotel business.
Off topic part.... D.C. was awesome. I went to a schmoozing cocktail hour in a room in the Capitol building right off the rotunda. Went into the rotunda when I was a little tipsy. The hotels were paying for an open bar hoping that some congressmen would show up. They sent their interns and I got drunk with those interns and they showed me a grand time in our nations capital.
