I began a thread on this a while back. I assume you mean the Book of Mormon movie in which characters were dressed in plaid and Nephi has a terrible bald spot and the direction/cinematography could not have been more amateur if it tried?
That movie is, to this day, a legendary joke to me. I would love to see it again, however, I am not willing to pay any money to see it again.
It is coming to Seattle in January. I desperately want to go see it, but the cheap seats are already selling for $250 each. There is just no way I can justify that.
A few weeks ago, tickets weren't on sale for the show individually (don't know if they are now), but you could order season tickets for the "Broadway Series" of seven shows starting in October 2012 and ending with the Book of Mormon next year. I got 2 seats for the whole season for just over $200, which I expect is less than I would pay for just the Book of Mormon tickets alone from a ticket broker or once those are available from the box office. I will take my wife to most shows, but a friend to the BoM. No, she's not mormon - just a never-mo born and raised in China with little interest in mormonism or the profanity level of the show. I intend to have a great time.
Soooooooooo, is this like some Grateful Dead groupie thing?
I can just picture it now . . . a line of scampers and Winnebagos snaking its way cross-country . . . driven by wild-eyed ex-Mormon housewives with the occassional *fabulous* gay theatergoers thrown in the mix. (I'm not exactly sure what those guys would be driving. But I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be caught dead in a scamper).

A Never-Mo friend of mine watched it while in NY, lives in CA and is now queuing to buy even more tickets so that his kids and CA friends can watch it with him. We went on a road trip recently, he had me listen to the entire CD in the car. It's freaking amazing! He appreciated my input/insight on some things exclusively Mormon with deep, prolonged belly laughs. The appreciation is appreciated.
