Caught another off guard...

Of all places to catch a TBM friend...we were both exiting the church that I now attend. I was leaving after finishing my volunteer hours (I shop for the children's ministry...with their church credit card account...no forms to submit and not out of my pocket btw) and she was leaving with her friend who was picking up a child from preschool. The conversation went like this:

TBM: what are you doing here Tiptoes?

Tiptoes: I go to church here now and was just finishing up some weekly shopping.

TBM: oh, really...do you like it here?

Tiptoes: oh yes, I love it here. The kids and I now attend here and hubby attends both the LDS and here.

TBM glances down and obviously spots my wrist tattoo and adverts her eyes which just makes me smile even BIGGER!

TBM: are you happy and things are going well?

Tiptoes: why of course, I am happy. It was good to see ya.

My new motto: Smile...it irritates the ones who want to destroy you!

Damn I wish I had on a strapless sundress and really made her eyes bug out of her head.

And I agree- people hate seeing others smile when they "should be" miserable.
