One thing I am observing are that the Board has people at different phases of the journey out of Mormonism. Some are still going. Some have been out for years, but have unfinished stuff to sort through and/or a desire to support others.
Those who are just leaving naturally would often want less thought about anything because they are needing to just clear the slate. Some others may have been out longer and are looking to find some way of integrating facets of themselves that they didn't get in other ways.
I think that is a significant difference and probably useful for all to be aware of. And of course there are a lot of variables on the individual specifics.
Some people may need 'training wheels' as they leave the religion. Others may go out with a bang and then realized maybe they want some element of family, culture and community back because they are missing something. It seems we have a mix. Some may depend on age as well and time in life.
Mormonism can be different things to different people too. There are patterns and differences to what people go through.
