I was just thinking the other day, that since God took Adam's rib to make Eve - Eve must actually have been genetically XY.

Eve (short for Steve) must have either been a male, or the world's first transsexual. Cain, Able, and Seth must have been adopted, or like-wise grown from ribs. The big question is where the women came from for the following generations.

Maybe the wives came from the evolved humans - (just like the BoMor hints at other people living in the land alongside God's people [according to the apologists] - the Bible certainly does the same in Genesis).

That would put any subsequent references (looking at YOU Moses) as culture specific and not of relevance to modern people at all - in the same manner that we have no problem bringing in some firewood on the Sabbath and blending threads.

The first family of God's people on earth was two Dads and three Sons.

Let's face it, Paul's a homophobe. And he really hates women, too. So, if your going to consult the Bible, check out what Jesus says, not Paul. And I think you will find that nowhere does Jesus even mention homosexuality.

In fact, he's all about how we treat each other, not with whom are we having sex. And Jesus treats women with grace and respect--to the point where his disciples get all bent out of shape. Repeatedly. And who was the first person to declare the resurrection? A woman. Seriously, go back and look it up.

So, either go with what Jesus says, or with what our Timothy says (as noted above--so cool!).

Seems you have to read 2-5, since 3 itself is meaningless.

There is a passage - Matthew 19:12 where Jesus actually did say some men are born without the desire to marry (a woman), so they should not marry (a woman).

There are various versions of this scripture on the bible gateway site, (they refer to eunuchs being that way from their mother's womb). A eunuch in those times did not necessarily refer to a castrated man, but often were just men who could be trusted around another man's woman or women because of their lack of interest in women.

The first known appearance of the word "homosexual" in print is found in an 1869 German pamphlet. It was an invented word. It would not show up in any properly translated versions of the original Bible.
