Nazis and the priesthood mention in almost the same breath. Let the sh!tstorm of indignation begin.

Remember that guy a few days ago who killed himself in his bunker, after it was surrounded by the police. What is the use of building a bunker, if you are going to off yourself the moment things get hard? At that point it is obvious you never had the mental state of mind to survive end of the world.

I kept wondering -- how can you be a survivalist when you killed your family and yourself? Isn't that the opposite of survival?

I wonder if people realize that mormonism is included in the "more despicable groups in society" that this racist POS associated with.

What is with neo-Nazis in AZ? It just strikes me as a completely odd place for them to congregate.

I just read this right before logging in here...the report didn't say he was a Mo penis holder.

AZ has been a hotbed of far-right extremists for decades. Add racial tensions, and it's only a matter of seconds before neo-nazis show up.

"What is with neo-Nazis in AZ? It just strikes me as a completely odd place for them to congregate."

The desert seems to attract outsiders, possibly because in Amero-European culture the desert is an empty wildness....of course if you grow up near or in a desert, you know that it's full of life. It also doesn't hurt that Arizona is next door to Mexico, so they think they can play the White Hero and stop "the hordes" of Mexicans and Central Americans illegally coming into America...the only trick is, illegal immigration has dropped to nothing thank to the Great Recession. So they just sit in the baking sun and seethe.

I get why the hole up in Northern Idaho and such.

During my stint in Yuma, it was pretty much nothing but Latinos of every shade everywhere. I have never felt so white in my entire life, lol (I'm a racially mixed Latina).

...racists have been gravitating to the plains and deserts because the percentage of white people is much higher than other parts of the country. Too bad those brown folks had to mess up the racists' dreams.

I lived in Arizona for seven years. There are many fine people there.

And there are quite a few right wing nuts. It is truly an unusual place for politics. You get, well, some really amazing stuff there...

most ppl will see this 'as the work of one fanatical man' (same as church presented the MMM) and won't take notice of the 'behind the scenes' racism that's allowed if not sanctioned in TSCC.

- Enter Romney; he'll straighten things out for us...

I hope I'm not getting too political with this, but...

From the Salon article:

"I worked with others to have him removed from his local position within our Republican Party because there has never been and will never be any room in our Party or our lives for those preaching hatred.”

I call BULLSHIT on that! If that were true, then they would be casting out the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'reilly, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and so on and so fourth.

As well as a picture of his ordination certificate.

From the article:
"The first is a photo from Ready's baptism into the Mormon Church. Ready became LDS sometime in 2003 or 2004. His status as a rising player in East Valley politics is vouched for by those who attended the event.

In the picture, former state Senator Karen Johnson clutches Ready's arm, seated on the front row. Behind them are the smiling faces of former state Representative Dean Cooley, local John Birch Society leader Jim Pinkerman, late state House Speaker Jeff Groscost, and, of course, Pearce, then a member of the state House."

Former state Senator. Former state Representative. A Birch Society leader. A House Speaker. And a member of the state house. Oh my!

So Pierce was trying to distance himself from Ready as far back as Dec, 2010. I think he's a liar. And thats the nicest thing I can think of to say about him.

Anyone from Arizona know how many mormons belonged to J.T. Ready's group?

The "whites that moved to Arizona are racists" Reset makes about as much sense as "Blacks moved out of the South and into Illinois to collect welfare."

Arizona used to have lots of construction jobs. No hurricanes, no blizzards.
