Hey guys, just started posting a bit ago. Moved to Sacramento about a year ago from SLC. Looking for maybe a every other Sunday coffee meetup in Sacramento/Roseville area. Any other Sacramento folks around here?

I'm 30 minutes from Sacramento. I've never been to a meetup, I'll have to consider it.

Let me know. Always up for meeting fellow exmo's in the area. I'm sure we can share some interesting stories :)

Looks like we have some interest. Right now we're looking at 10am , Sunday, the 29th at a Starbucks; there is a stand alone shop off of Blue Oaks and Fairfield, by the Blue Oaks Cinema that has a nice patio. See you all there.

I wish my wife was ready for this. She is contemplating sending in her resignation papers, but I think she still has some belief in Mormon teachings, she just knows that it doesnt work for her. Maybe in a few years she will be ready. I'm just glad she is out. Have fun, and maybe we will be joining you guys soon.

Hi Sacto peeps! So, I showed up very excited to meet some fellow RFM'rs but no one was there. I was about 15 min late, so perhaps someone/everyone had left by then?

I would love to try a "take II" and meet with anyone from the area, so let me know.

We were there! Too bad we missed each other. We were there for quite a while. Maybe you didn't have the proper secret handshake. ;-). I was the only girl, so it would have been nice.... I'm up for take 2 anytime. If you want to meet up for lunch or coffee another time even if no one else can make it, I'm game for that too. I'm new to the area and don't know anyone out here so any kind of social interaction other than with my kids would be awesome! ;-)

Fun times were had by all.

No matter, I had a good time as I sat inside for a while and drank my lovely tea and I only scared one man by asking if he was Raptor Jesus.

I don't know why he moved away from me after that.

Wouldn't you know it, I end up picking up a hitchhiker on the freeway and driving him all the way to Sacramento. And buying the kid dinner. Could have just made the drive to meet you people in the morning.

Since we had decent interest in this last time around, we'd like to suggest another round of Apostate coffee! How does next Saturday, May 19th sound at the same location?

Edit to add: We are toying around with different dates, so if we can get a consensus on what works best for people we will do it.
Memorial Day Sunday was also discussed with soon to be Mrs. Sactown as her apostate brother and heathen children will be here that weekend. He loved the idea!

Both days sound great to me, though the earlier in the day, the better.

So what's the verdict? This Saturday or the following Sunday? What works best for everyone? I can do either!

But neither of them are super great.
