What service to a church could possibly be more important than participating in the upbringing of your children? The only silver lining to Peter Priesthood being so busy with the church is that if he is a real ARS than at least he's out of the house most of the time!

Whenever someone sees my BYU degree I absolutely cringe with embarrassment.

I have a college degree from a university named after a complete loon. I can only hope that the people who see it don't know very much about BY and the things he actually stood for.

I interviewed with someone who asked me "Brigham Young University -- that's in South Carolina, right?" and I had to say "No, that's Bob Jones University." Totally embarrassing to have my alma mater named after a polygamist caveman.

I have told several TBMs at different times that BY was a complete asshole, and have not yet had one of them disagree. I don't even have to bring up the quotes they don't know about, the quotes the church admits to are enough.

He sure liked making those babies. After that, he seemed to want nothing to do with them. He encouraged the men of the church to be irresponsible fathers. The men were nothing more than sperm donors. disgusting. I'm so glad I wasn't born during that time.

Yeah Brigham Young is a despicable figure, yet he is the second most important person in mormon history, go figure.

Fanny Stenhouse tells in her book, "Tell it All" that BY essentially told members education was a waste of time.

My grandmother, born in 1896 in Parowan Utah attended the first school there. It was started by the Presbyterians.
