Now I see things on a different perspective I really get agitated when I think about the church and missions in general.

The church could EASILY pay for everyone and their dog to go on a mission and it would barely put a dent in their bank accounts.

Yet they use brainwashing and guilt to get members to pay for it themselves. It's ridiculous!!!

Who are they planning on sending?

I have a better question, would does this church still have a missionary program? They certainly do not do it for the converts, as it really is not worth it. The numbers just don't justify the sacrifice. So why do it? To keep people poor, dependent, obedient, and busy as all hell.
If you are busy on the lord's errand, you have no time to sit and reflect on your own errands... that you should be doing to better your life.
Plus, have you ever wondered why sometimes it takes so long to leave this church? Because you can't believe you did all the things you did for nothing... tell me it has to be true, look at all I did, it has to be... then you realize it really isn't despite all the money you gave to it, the time, the sweat and tears, the sacrifice, the callings, and the years of your life that you will never get back.
If the church keeps you doing those things, the less likely you are to leave.

Yep, it is all about keeping you busy and brainwashed so you hear testimonies all the time, repeated by everyone. It's a hamster wheel you all must go on. I say "Jump off!!!"
