Largest family in our ward in Sandy Utah had over 20 kids. Can somebody beat that number?

My family was small at 4 kids...

can't top that, we have 4. But we love kids, so we'll probably have more. Idk how many more.

The biggest family I ever knew weren't religious at all, I think their mom was UU, & their dad would just say that he believed in science...they had 16 kids. IIRC, there were successive sets of twins, but I don't recall how many sets. I just remember that their mom said she could have a thousand kids if they came in two's, because they always had a best friend, which made me wish I were a twin! :) built-in buddy! :)

I was always surprised that they had such a big family and they weren't Mormon...shocking, I know. ;)

They adopted most of them and a lot of them had disabilities.

I remember a missionary in our area back in the late 70's who's mother had given birth to her 17th child while he was on his mission.

My second to the last ward had a family of 22 children.
They lost two boys to Vietnam; very sad. Nice family, hard workers, salt of the earth sort.
Kids generally doing well, but made sure to stop after four children! (but with twenty children and each having four children that makes 80 grand children doesn't it?)

I 'only' have 4. It seems like the average for Mormons these days, but all of my nonmember friends outside of the military have anywhere between 0-2.

It seems to me military families have a little more (free health care anyone?). Generally 2-4.

Nonmember military families also have more homemakers (in my experience) than nonmilitary families.
