Japan Tokyo North 2005-2007...if I'm not mistaken, the Tokyo north and south missions were absorbed by neighboring missions and now there is only a Tokyo mission that covers the Tokyo city area. I could be wrong though...I have paid no attention to my mission since I left.

The Italian Mission, 1969-1971. (It was eventually formally named--and I kid you not--"The Great Italian Mission" by Hartman Rector and Thomas Monson.)

Allez Les Bleus tomorrow against the Scots but not by an embarrassing score.

Spain. There were 5 missions when I was there and were expecting a lot of baptisms once the Madrid temple was completed - because of God's blessing on the land that had a temple in it.

There are 3 missions there now.

It was the Mision Mexico Queretaro until they moved the mission office and home to Leon and renamed it Mision Mexico Leon and made some boundary adjustments.

Utah Salt Lake City North and it had the head office across the road from Temple Square - served in 83-84 under Gayle D Heckel. I think it's now Ogden or something like that. On a side note, I must say I enjoy reading all the posts by and about Utah (ex/post)LDS. I thought it was a bit funny sending an Aussie to 'head office' as a missionary. I had a reality check though. I was thinking a bit like Dick Wittington that the streets were paved with (spiritual) gold bu found out otherwise. I loved the 11.5months I spent in Wyoming! I wore cowboy boots with the suit except for Church and the occasional conference the Pres would be at.

Thanks for letting me reminisce.

What areas did you serve in? Your president came in right before I left and my final interview was a thanks for serving wish I could have known you better 2 minute speech. Talk about a let down when your expecting to get some wisdom passed down to help succeed in life.

I've always thought that Quetzaltenango was one of the most testimony killing missions in Central America, but I haven't found many other one's on the boards.

Utah Provo/Temple Square 1990-1991

President Magnussen for the part assignment to Utah Provo and then I had Ralph Bradley and Robert Harbertson for Temple Square. I spent 14 months total at TS and did a couple of short stints out in the field. I served in Heber and Vernal. I liked both places. I really had a great experience with my TS Mission Presidents, the Provo one...that is a whole other story.. I don't even want to think about him. What an ass. I still get weekly updates from President Bradley. I read them, but the talks are not from people I admire anymore.
