In the "weirdness" Thread there is a link to the Telegraph in the UK. Romney defends his practice of tying the family dog, Seamus, to the roof of the car on road trips, "He loves it!"

His son said his dog defecated all over as they approached an overpass at high speed on a trip to Ontario. Mitt hosed it off. The dog ran away.

Sick.

I suppose "mighty Mitt" thought Mormon Jesus would protect Seamus ... and the car? What an idiot.

Indeed, it is true that one can see the measure of a person in the way they treat animals.

Mitt hosed off both the dog and the car and then strapped the dog back into his crate and finished the drive to Canada. The dog ran away when they got to Canada. It appears that they found Seamus again, though, because it is claimed that Seamus ended his days on a ranch owned by Mitt's sister where he could roam to his heart's content.

I think Romney's claim that the dog "LOVED" to be on top of the car is insane.

Funny. We used to tell the students that the rats would "retire" to live on a nice ranch when they had finished working in the lab.

If we had treated them the way Mitt treated poor Seamus we would never get Ethics Board approval. No animal just randomly sh!ts itself.

There is no such thing as an air tight kennel. Um, that's a box man.

But I haven't heard anyone accuse Romney of being particularly bright.
