Beloved and I discovered the most wonderful Italian eatery Valentine's Day past and are headed there again this evening.

They don't have a liquor license as yet so its BYOB which is great because I know they'll always have what I want on-hand.

And we're still diggin' that new Bud Light Platinum. Never liked Bud light, but this stuff ROCKS!

Red Wine tonight

Single malt Scotch, as usual ... this time it will be "Jura - Durach's Own" ... better than cognac, and contributes to the economic well-being of the land of [some of] my forefathers!

I tried Bavaria at the BBC Good Food Show. I had to wash my mouth out with some real ale! :oD

This evening I am drinking some 12 year-old Glenfiddich.

Talk about how we would spend our evening at work today. Various answers were: Red wine, Jaeger Bombers, Vodka, Glenfiddich or beer, and in my case, the Glenfiddich.

Licorice tea with a packet of fake sugar. :-(

Found this great new wine at a wine tasting the other night - Claiborne & Churchill 2008 Edna Valley Pinot Noir . . . it is quite tasty! Cheers!

I've been thinking about trying some limoncello. Is it sweet enough to drink without a mixer? What brand do you have?

i have Pallini. It's very lemony strong and very sweet alone. I like it better mixed. I like it so much I'm thinking of making my own, there are recipes online. Because it's sweet you can use the low-sugar CB juice and can't taste the difference.

My friend makes the same drink as above only with 1/3 vodka instead of the 1/3 soda... hardcore!

Okay, I know what I'm buying next time I go to the liquor store. Sounds delicious. As long as it's kinda sweet, I'll probably just pour it over ice.

It's intense, sweet, very lemony stuff, and best kept in the freezer - there's enough alcohol in it that it won't freeze.

The best is the stuff you make yourself. It's not hard. I'd just cut way back on the sugar, make sure you use only the yellow, none of the pith, and leave it in for a long time. We used some lemons right off my brother's tree (California). They were practically orange, and the best lemons I've ever had.

I swear to "G"od that tonight I am drinking cheap "Popov Vodka mixed with LDS approved food storage "Powdered Friut Drink". Needless to say that my Temple Sealing is on the verge of becoming irrelevant!!! BTW... This mix smells like cat piss in powdered form and appears to be "less effective". BOOOYah!!!
